The garage sale took place at three houses at the intersection of Oak Street and Miller. Work on the sale began in earnest Friday evening as the pricing of the multitude of items donated began. Approximately forty volunteer residents of the neighborhood participated in the sale. More than 500 people came to the sale.

Customers carefully examined items before purchasing them. They were lined up and ready for the sale to begin at 6:00 a.m. in the morning.
Items included everything from large furniture, lawnmowers, exercise equipment, and televisions sets to clothing and books. Here Sara Harvey (left rear) provides potentional customers assistance with some large items.
Ellen Ryfle-Ralph (left), Bob Ralph (middle) and Elise Ridenour (right) and many others stood by to assist customers and make the final sales.
Dixie Stevenson served as official greeter.
Steve Friedson gleefully counted money. Ultimately, $2600 was collected.
In addition to his duties as greeter, Dixie cooked throughout the day to prepare for the potluck held at his home that evening. A good time was had by all.
